Helena Sijpkens

She grew up in Wrocław (PL), where she began learning to play the violin using the Suzuki method at the age of six. Her siblings joined soon after, and music became an important part of family life. Together with her mother and siblings, she participated in Suzuki violin workshops throughout Europe.

After graduating from high school, she continued her studies at the Conservatory in Utrecht in Chris Duindam's class, where, in addition to perfecting her playing, she developed her teaching skills and experience. Strongly committed to the Suzuki Method, in 2022 she completed a first-level teaching course with Helen Brunner in London and began working with preschool and school-age children, as well as adults.

She taught at the Jan Sebastian Bachschool in Soest and privately in Nieuwegein and Utrecht. She is constantly developing her teaching skills – in 2025, she began the second level of the Suzuki Method teaching course with Helen Brunner (ESA). She regularly participates with her students in national and international violin workshops, and in 2026 she will be a teacher at the Violin Workshop in Krzyżowa (PL) for the third time.

In her teaching, she focuses on a positive atmosphere, mutual respect and the joy of making music together. She believes that anyone can learn to play the violin, which is why her door is always open to students of all ages and backgrounds.
